People pay a lot of money for good, quality tequila. The most expensive bottle of tequila ever sold according to The Guinness Book of World Records went for £120,000 to a private collector in Mexico City in 2006. The bottle was made out of white gold and platinum and was filled with 6 year aged, 100% Blue Agave tequila.

‘Pineapple’ in Spanish, is the heart of the agave from which sugars are removed and tequila is made. Why is it called a piña once harvested? Because the heart of the plant resembles a pineapple. Did you know, 17Ibs of piña equals 1 litre of tequila!
